I bought this helmet because I have owned other HJC helmets before. It is a nice quality helmet, fit is true to size, and it's comfortable. However, it loses points on the shield ratchet system. It is nearly impossible to take the shield off and install the visor. I followed the directions in the manual exactly, and the third time I removed the shield one of the base plates broke. It will cost $17 (which includes shipping) to replace the broken base plate. I like the helmet overall so I will buy the new base plate, but I would not purchase the helmet again because of the difficulty with removing the shield.
